I turned 31 and I realized I’ve been training people for four years! So here are five tips that have helped me grow my company, goals, and be the best version of myself.
Tip 1: Keep people who are going places around you.
You are the company you keep, the people you choose to surround yourself will impact you. So, lets say that you have friends who party too much and don’t take care of themselves. You will pick up on some of those habits, it happens. You may think you are a ‘lone wolf’ and ‘independent person’ there are a bunch of articles that address how the company you keep affects your life.
Tip 2: Work harder & smarter.
I remember when I first started this business, I spent HOURS learning to edit video, editing photos and continuing to learn my craft. People always ask me when am I going to take a vacation or time off. Well, I’m not where I want to be, so I’m still in the grind phase growing my business. On the flip side, some people are running away from their lives by vacationing or partying. Maybe you need to take a look at howyou are working… are you happy? Good shit ain’t gonna happen if you don’t work hard. You have to put in the time and effort to build and improve. Work with intention and plans for what you want… andACCOMPLISH THEM.
Tip 3: Show gratitude to the people in your life: friends, family & clients.
I’m incredibly grateful for the clients I train. I found in the past, I did not express this effectively to my clients. I am incredibly grateful for my clients and even if you came for just one class, I appreciate you. In the process of showing gratitude, I feel more responsible for helping them. Make sure you’re showing your friends and family that you value them. In this process, you will feel upbeat and more positive. It’s funny; when you show gratitude you will feel better & more positive.
Tip 4: Try your best to be honest.
Sometimes, people are tempted to over-state things or over-sell a non-fact. So, try to be honest with people as much as you can. People will value your honesty and appreciate you more than you can imagine.
Tip 5: Take care of your damn health.
Make sure you are taking care of yourself: sleep, food is fuel, and working out. These are all going to impact your overall well-being. They impact your decision choices and help you operate at your optimal level. Sleep is SUPER important!!!! Don’t underestimate the power of sleep for recovery, well-being. Check your water intake, your exercise program, and other healthy habits that help you become a better version of yourself. Take care of your health because you will be a better business owner, mom, dad, daughter, and friend.
Yo! I’m not a licensed therapist, I just talk about real shit that’s happened to my clients and me.
