What kind of Resistance Bands should I use?

You can Use Loop or Tube resistance bands.

There are a variety of different kinds of resistance bands on the market. However, the two most common types of resistance bands are Loop and tube, resistance bands. Loop bands are the kind of resistances band that are linked in a circular pattern with no handle or breaks in the band. Here is a photo of a loop band.

The next type of resistances bands are tube resistance bands. I call regular tube resistances bands because they are perhaps the most common kind of resistances band on the market. Regular resistances bands are tube shaped and have hooks on the end that you can attach handles too.

Either kind of resistances band is fine for anybody at any skill level. You can do most of the same exercise with either band. However, I believe that if you are a beginner who struggles with hand cramps then the Regular kind of resistances bands are a better choice for you. Another between the Loop Bands and the Tube is that the Loop bands are great for westside weightlifting training and assisted pull ups. However, if you clicked on this article then chances are training using the westside method.

Let’s talk about resistance band pull ups. The loop band is a great assistance exercise for the pull-up. I meet clients all the time who tell me that they want to learn how to do a pull-up but cannot seem to get themselves up at all. You can use the loop band as an anchor to support your weight in the pull-up. Let me know if you would like to see a video of me teaching you how to do that.
