Vanessa and Erica sit down with me to discuss what life is like balancing family, work & lifting. Vanessa has six kids aging from 18 to 11 and two sets of twins. Vanessa heads straight to the gym after work and her family supports her. Erica has 5 children, 3 of her own & 2 adopted children ranging from 4 to 21. Erica does her best to balance her workouts with commitments to her children.
Sometimes moms feel guilty when they miss their workouts due to commitments, but these ladies discuss how to be successful. They say it’s about coming back and getting stronger. If you miss a session, don’t beat yourself up, just push yourself the next time you’re in the gym. Erica feels like missing sets herself back, but she does do extra things that help her continue to build strength.
