In this episode of the Total Body Training podcast, I got the opportunity to interview Karen Vi a.k.a. Karen Villereal. Karen Vi and I got the opportunity to discuss her rise to fame as an Instagram model and also discuss her company Glow or Glow Collective. *About the Interview with Karen VI* As I was saying, Karen Vi and I had a really great conversation about how she became the model we all know and love. Karen Villereal came up to become a social media star by posting bikini pictures of herself on social media. She came up during a time when all you needed to do to gain a following on social media was to post hot pictures of yourself.
Karen Vi also made a video funny video that went viral on social media. I forgot to ask her about her video but after doing some digging around I think she was talking about this video she with IceJJFish’s Viral “On the Floor”. Here is a link to the Icejjfish video that Karen Vi was in

So, Karen Vi gained popularity because she was a bikini model who posted pics and her appearances viral videos like this the IceJJfish video.
Karen acknowledges the fact that during this time in her life her goal was to gain social media popularity by getting the attention of men. She mentions that at that time everyone was all about the booty in Karen’s Vi’s words “and your girls got a nice booty”
However, over the years she has started to change and expand her own brand and social media image. Karen Villereal is now a mother and her priorities have shifted. She doesn’t look down on her past but she does think it’s important for her to grow and that’s why if you look at her Instagram you’ll notice that she seems a bit more focused on fitness, family, health, and style. She also posts workout on her fitness channel Karen Vi’s Instagram page has tons of photos of her with her kids as well as photos of her working out and sporting the clothing company she started called Glow.
“Glow Represents the women who know who she is and doesn’t apologize for it and it also represents the women who are finding her.” Glow is all about growing as a woman and embracing her femininity. We also discuss the growing trend for size inclusivity within the clothing industry. Karen Also talked to me about a recent speech she gave in Denver, Colorado at an even called Unleash Her 2019. Unleash her 2019 was an event that was created by Jazmine Pineda, Alejandra Barron, Jaqueline Mendoza.
