What Muscles Get activated when kettlebell squatting?

The quadriceps are the primary muscle group that gets worked out when squatting.

The squat works is a compound movement that activates several different muscle groups in your legs. Therefore most of us just think of the Kettlebell squat is a leg exercise and that is true. How do you Squat Correctly?

Good form is a must.

I’ve been a personal trainer since 2014 and I have to tell you that good form is a must for all exercise movements. In all of my years of training, I have learned that their various ways to do certain exercises, and there are various tips and techniques for every exercise under the sun. Some tips are useful while others aren’t. As a result, many people are confused about what good form looks like in any given exercise.

What does the good form look like for the squat? That’s a great question. It depends on who you ask. I know the answer you want but hear me out. There are several different ways to perform a squat. An olympic weighlifter will usually teach you the squat with their feet facing forward. Several training institutions and credible trainers teach the squat with the feet face forward. However, there are plenty of reputable trainers who teach the squat with your feet turned out to 3o degrees. Who has the best form?

I’m glad you asked. I’m going to say something a bit controversial. I believe that the answer is in part based on what feels right for your body. So, when you watch this video, just know that some people might teach it a little bit differently than me and that doesn’t necessarily mean that either of us is wrong. There are definitely some common mistakes that people make when squatting and in this video, I talk about all of those mistakes.

Learning proper form will reduce the chance of you having an injury. It will also increase the effectiveness of the exercise movement you are practicing. So, make sure to watch the video all the way till the end where I teach you the common mistakes and how to fix them.
