Jessica has lost 23 pounds in 2.5 months, what’s her secret? COMMITMENT. I sat down with her to discuss her fitness goals, balancing life as a mother of 4, a full time job, consistent work out routine, and how the weight loss group helps motivate her to stay consistent. I chatted with her about being at the halfway point with her weight loss program and how she plans to continue to commit to a healthy lifestyle.

A little history about Jessica, she never really stuck to a program on her own. As for diets, they weren’t on her radar and a workout program on her own proved to be difficult. Before she found Total Body Training, Jessica would go to the gym and walk 30 minutes on the treadmill. She was bored to tears and her fitness goals were soon derailed.

Pro Tip: Avoid treadmills to prevent boredom.

The 80’s lifting party was the start of her journey. Jessica was pumped and had found her gym home. The atmosphere and parties inspired her to keep coming back. When the diet group started, Jessica made no hesitation to join in!

The diet group here is a little different. We focus on slow and steady weight loss. Why? In the long run it’s more sustainable! Don’t be a hater of her slow weight loss! The experience of watching friends yo-yo & crash diet led her to find something that she KNEW she could maintain. Yes, the first weeks of the meal plan were difficult. But, after the initial shock, Jessica found a routine that worked for her and her four kids.   Even though she still cooks nightly for the kids, she’s managed to stick to her plan.

“I thought the hardest thing was going to be making all my food and making all my kids food. Now that I meal prep, I just warm up my food and focus on cooking for my family. It’s still a learning curve for 2 to 3 weeks, but now I’m used to it and it’s almost easy.”
