Sometimes shit comes up that stops us from eating healthy and exercising. There’s a difference between shit happening versus you choosing other shit! I’m here with a tough-love podcast.
Sometimes stuff does come up that you can’t control: getting sick, kids getting sick, unexpected work scheduling, car trouble… the list is endless. This falls into the category of shit happens.

Then there is YOU CHOOSING OTHER SHIT. Not going to the gym because your friend invited you at the last minute dinner, lunch, or happy hour. Maybe you are thinking you need a break from a long, tough day; maybe you decide to slack off and skip the gym. Maybe you don’t have a schedule: you’ve got life, family, and work. These are things that happen and it’s because things do happen, it’s important for us to NOT TO CHOOSE other shit (slacking off) when you can.
Many people who have problems come up all the time, also choose other shit more often. I would say that people choose other shit, as much, or not more if they have other stuff going on. Many focus on all the other issues and not get to the root issue.
How do I combat that? Ask yourself these questions:
- Are you choosing other shit too often?
- Could I still enjoy other shit and stillget shit done?
- Are you scheduling your life effectively?
