Complaining is setting you back! Happiness, self-actualization, or being in the moment is affected by your constant complaining. Wallowing, whining, and dwelling on the situation ISN’T HELPING YOU. I’m not talking about the occasional vent, “I hate burpess,” statement. What I’m addressing is the contestant complaining and self wallowing about your fitness goals.
So you set this fitness goal and are a beginner. Guess what, IT’S NOT GOING TO BE EASY. Working out and changing your diet is difficult. Are you constantly complaining about your new workout regimen? Are you stuck in the trap of comparing yourself to other’s fitness success? If this is you… Would you like some cheese with that WHINE?
TOUGH LOVE TALK
Have you stopped to consider how good your life actually is? That you have the opportunity to eat? That you have the opportunity to work out? That you’re extra weight to love is actually a blessing? There are so many people in the world that are starving and don’t have much to eat. There are people who don’t have access to clean water in America… just think about how you sound to someone who don’t have food to eat?
Maybe you don’t have it so bad in life, you have the opportunity to eat properly, work out, and afford a trainer. So why are you whining? Have you stopped and considered that maybe, just maybe, your complaining and whining comes from a place of self-entitlement?
STOP RIGHT NOW – Take a moment to appreciate your OPPORTUNITY to eat food, improve yourself, work out, and have access to the things you do.
Stop complaining and take a moment to be grateful for your life. When you complain about your opportunity, you’re creating a narrative that you are owed something. Well guess what, life doesn’t owe you shit. You have to work hard, stay consistent, and embrace the challenges that come your way.
Recognize that your fitness goals aren’t easy and embrace the suck… and stop the constant complaining!!!
