Do the right shit and good shit will happen. If you don’t do the right shit, then ain’t shit gonna happen. -Jean Carlos
Seriously though, if you have a solid workout program, routine, and you stick to it… you will see results. But, if you kind-of, sort-of do it every now and then… you will not be very happy with your lack of results. Say your goal is to have a weight loss of 5 pounds, but eat Taco Bell every day, chances are good shit ain’t gonna happen.
Ever walk into store after store and realize you’re in denial about a few extra pounds? You walk from store to store and cant find anything that fits. Maybe you start feeling ashamed or start negative self-talk, I’ve been there, we all have. You shouldn’t have to live every day in shame or discomfort about yourself of your body – commit to take care of you. But what does that look like?
Maybe you started following a solid nutrition and workout program, and found it extremely difficult. Most people give up the moment things get to difficult. We know it’s not easy to stick to plans in difficult times, so prepare yourself for these times. Find a support group, best friend, or some outlet that helps you embrace the shit.
Mentally prepare yourself to improve your entire life.
That sounds great right, but how do we start?? Leave excuses at the door and get honest with yourself. Don’t hide behind unhealthy habits and negative self-talk under the blanket body positivity. Take the time to find out what works for you to tackle the obstacles that you face. Accept being OK where you are in the process… after all, life is a journey.
This episode explores how doing the right shit, staying consistent, and planning for the obstacles will lead to results.
