How To Deal With Negative People

You’re excited about your fitness goals. You’ve been on track with your diet and exercise but some of the people in your life aren’t very supportive. They have negative things to say about their own experiences with fitness and negative things to say about yours. Read this article do find out How to Deal with Negative People.

Negative people always have something bad to say about everything.So, if you have a fitness goal and your working out hard and being consistent and they see that, chances are they are going to start explaining why they cant get in shape and why your weight loss in gains aren’t good enough.

The majority to of the time these people are co-workers, friends or family members. These people influence you in a little ways when you are around them. If you are truly serious about achieving your goals, those relationships need to change. Here are three tips I have used for Dealing with negative people.

First, Ask that person To Please Stop Being Negative – Just simply explain to them that you don’t appreciate their negativity. Their negativity is bringing you down and you don’t want those bad vibes to slow down your progress.

Second, Distance yourself from the person. – So, lets say our negative friend doesn’t change. They keep on, keeping on with the negative comments. Spend less time with them. Distance yourself. Go out with them less or if it’s a co-worker fraternize with them less often.  Jim Rome said “You are the average of the people you spend the most time around time around” And Negative people will bring you down.

Third, End The Relationship- This is the hardest one to do but if that person in your life isn’t willing to change then its best to let them go. Why? Because they are being selfish. You asked them for one little favor and they refused to do it. Whether they realize it or not they want to hold you back. Your relationship with them is Toxic. So, end it.

To some people these tips might sound rude but it’s actually the opposite. If you are positive person, then what you probably want is for your friends to succeed at life. You want for both of you to be happy. Each one of these tips has the potential to inspire that person to do some soul searching. You might help transform that person into a better version of themselves. And that would be badass.

Remember when dealing with a negative person, you can Ask them To Please, Stop Being Negative, Distance yourself from the person, or End The relationship.
