Lets just say that this recipe is a great way to have your chocolate practically any day of the week without running your diet. Anyways, go try this recipe out and share it with your friends and family! Enjoy your Chocolate Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
• 3/4 cup chocolate protein powder
• 1/4 cup stevia OR 1/2 cup ‘real’ sugar (adjust depending on your protein powder’s sweetness)
• 1/2 cup almond butter (or peanut butter)
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 egg or 1/3 cup egg whites
• 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1/2 to 3/4 cup almond milk (start with 1/2 and add as needed until mix is like cake batter) (personally I feel that if you add all the almond milk it will taste a bit moister. Which is a good thing)
• 1 Table Spoon of Dark Chocolate Chips (or Nuts_
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Heat almond butter slightly in a microwave safe dish – 30 seconds or until easy to mix. Mix almond butter and stevia thoroughly. Add eggs, vanilla and almond milk. Mix protein powder, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl. Combine.
3. Mix all of the ingredient until it is the consistency of cake batter.
4. Pour the chocolate chips over the top of the loaf.
5. Bake for about 25 Minutes.
6. When you take the loaf out let it sit in the pan for about 10 minutes then remove it for eating.
OPTION: You could look up a cool healthy Protein Vanilla Icing to slather on top of the cake but only do this once the cake has cooled down or it will melt. Here is a recipe I found that you might want to try.
